A Billion Bees

Start with one bee. End with a galaxy of bees.

A small incremental game about beekeeping that does not stay small. Tend your hive, automate the work away, research things you probably shouldn't, and swarm when the colony outgrows the world you built for it.

Plays in your browser, on desktop or phone — a few minutes to get hooked, longer if you let it.

Early public test. The first slice is live: the opening, the economy, royal-jelly research, and the first Swarm. More is coming. Bugs, balance weirdness, and feel notes are all welcome — leave a comment.

• Bee Biology Research is now a tree that unfolds across swarms — Royal Comb, then Robot Bees and Swarm Mind.
• Swarming has teeth: a colony-pressure / overcrowding meter that escalates past the gate (buzz swells, the bar throbs red, the Inspector gets nervous).
• The Queen flies in and takes the throne when you buy her.
• Legibility + fixes: locked nodes & roadmap read honestly, wax foreshadows the product line, swarms arrive with their comb, overlays fit on phone, purchases have sound.

June 4

• Bigger Bees no longer strands bees or makes hives "fill themselves" — it's now income-neutral on purchase.
• Royal Jelly resets on swarm (it's produced by the hive you leave behind).
• Fixed the swarm confirmation popup running off the edges of the screen; restyled the dialog buttons.
